Pekingese love can be described in many ways. Let us examine some of the many ways a Pekingese does and will express love to you and others.

A pekingese can show love by being at the door to send you off on your way to work, or other activities. A pekingese will express love by also being at the door to greet you when you return home from work.

They are there, maybe barking a welcome, as their whole little body shakes in delight to see you. They will act as if you have been gone for ages, not hours.

A pekingese will express its love for you by coming to you to cuddle, by getting as close as possible. Many times it will lay its head upon you and press against you, this is the one of the many ways you know the Pekingese is saying I Love You.

Some pekingese will actually lick you on the face, hands or arms, feet and or legs. This is a most common sign of love in almost every species, a kiss.

Some Pekingese will put out a paw as if to say pick me up, and carry me or hold me, I want to love on you.

A Pekingese is saying, I love you when you have had a bad day and are ready to scream, they can sense this in the scent your body puts off. They will sit and watch you and stay close to you just encase you need them they are their for you.

The Pekingese will also sometimes come to you and try to comfort you. They feel it is their job to help in any way they can. This is also called loyalty, which is instinctively built into the breed of pekingese. Pekingese show love and affection to other pekingese by licking and or preening, this is a grooming gesture as many other forms of other animals with do. By licking the fur of another they seem to relax and the one being preened will show content as well.

One cute thing many pekingese owners have reported is watching a pekingese couple that mate. The male and female pekingese that has mated in the past will chew or nibble the other one behind the ears. This is quite cute to see this kind of affection between two Pekingese's two females will not do this action, nor will two males. Only pekingese that has mated in the past will give this kind of affection.

A pekingese that has been around you long enough to bond with you will want to sit in your lap, or lay beside you. This is a form of showing love and affection. By wanting to be close to you just encase you need to or want to pet them they are there for you.

They also want to sleep in the bed with you so that they are there for your protection, as well as the fact they love you and want to be close to you.

If a Pekingese loves you do not worry you will know it. They have many ways of showing their love for humans, as well as showing their love for other member in the pack of pekingese.
