Pekingese and Other Animals

Pekingese Pekingese and Other Animals

On the matter of Pekingese and other animals we will be looking at some factors for these types of dogs. For example Pekingese will allow a newborn puppy into their domain. This puppy will be able to grow into adult hood without being harmed from the other Pekingese.

They will eat together, sleep together and also play with one another. Which can be kind of fun to watch, for when he grows up the little Pekingese will try every means necessary to get him down to their level, so they can chew on him.

Because they are so small they cannot get to him. So in turn these larger dogs pack them around the yard, because they are much smaller.

Sort of like a big brother type thing. Plus he will watch over them and protect not only them but also the entire premises he lives on.

There have been certain reports from dog owners. That have stated they have all these Pekingese dogs, and one big Pyrenees/Anatolian puppy in their yard at the same time. All of them will run, play, and sleep together. As long as the puppy grows up with the other Pekingese we will be accepted into the pack.

On the other hand should you decide to go out and buy another dog, to replace the one the Pekingese have grown up with? Watch out, as Pekingese will treat this dog harshly, because it is not part of the pack to them. The older Pekingese and the new dog will fight for dominance. They will consider this dog to be an outsider.

Pekingese are very protective dogs, thus being if a neighbors dog. Wonders into your yard or pasture for any reason, there could be total chaos. The Pekingese will chase this certain dog away for it is violating their domain. When they do this you may never see this dog ever again. For it knows not to return to this place.

Younger Pekingese tend to relate better to other animals, than older dogs. If possible expose your young Pekingese to as many animals as you can. This will help them relate better in the future. You may not be able to expose them to every animal around your neighborhood, for some could be dangerous. Expose them to other neighbors' dogs or cats, also to some of your best friends. So when friends do come over. They will be used to seeing them as well.

When it is late at night, it may sound like your pekingese is going crazy. To your amazement, walk outside with a flashlight. You will be surprised to see that it is only one Pekingese barking. This does happen all the time, you see Pekingese have a lot of the traits as pack animals such as wolves as well as the ancient breeds and they behave that way too.. They have many instinctive behaviors from past generations. So when it is dark there will be one certain Pekingese that will stay up during the night to keep watch.

This is really something special to see because a long time ago the Chinese keep them to guard the palace from evil spirits. Don't you want them guarding your home as well?
