Care to know about a gerbil's diet

Care to know about a gerbil’s diet?

In there original homelands the gerbils mostly sum up their diet within wind blown seeds, grasses and grains. Due to their coyness people misjudge them as herbivores; it is not actually as such. They do need some amount of protein in their diet charts, they are born omnivores. When in their natural habitat they fulfill their needs by eating small insects or other forms of animal proteins. They have a striking similarity with sharks; sharks have a new tooth every time one gets broken, while the gerbils have same set of teeth but with a tendency to grow lengthier all throughout the life. This is why gerbils need to gnaw something to wear out these teeth.
